The Dick Whelan 10km memorial race Prizes for male and female 1st €100 2nd €75 3rd €50.
The Denis McKennedy cup will be presented to the first Caragh Gfc member to cross the finish 5km finish line.
This is an out and back fast course which. With only 2 hills it is one of the fastest 10kms around with a downhill finish for the last 1km Race will start from Caragh GFC grounds, from there you will turn right out the gate and head for Hatters Cross. Turn right here and head straight down the canal, then over Murphy’s lock bridge. The 5k turn will be just before Digby Bridge A 5km fun run will also take this route, turning for home at 2.5km
We will also have 3 juvenile races on the night: U/7 300m U/9 600m U/12 800m

This year’s race will take place on Sunday June 16th starting at 11.15am from St. Farnan's Park (Caragh GFC grounds) in Prosperous, Co Kildare. Our Eircode is W91 WV62.
Number pick up will commence on Sunday, 16th June from 10am.
On the day registration is available and will close at 10.45am
We have excellent prizes again this year for 1st (€100), 2nd (€75) and 3rd (€50) in both the Ladies and Mens categories for the 10km race.
In addition to this we are also €50 if the course record is broken.
Please note there is no parking on the race grounds at St. Farnan’s Park however ample car parking is available a short walk from the grounds throughout Prosperous Village with additional parking available nearer the grounds (marked on map).
Toilet facilities and bag drop are available in the club grounds.
The kids races will take place at approximately 12pm, after the adults races.
A free BBQ, refreshments and the prize-giving for the 10km will be in the club after the adults race, we’d love to see everyone stick around afterwards.
