This year’s race will take place on Sunday April 21st starting at 10am at the new Maynooth Education Campus on the Moyglare road W23 P2R0.
Organized by MEC PTA, the Parent teacher association for Maynooth Education Campus, this race is a fund-raiser for the upkeep of the school playing fields on the Moyglare road and school facilities.
Excellent Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Ladies and Men in the 10K and 5K.
Entry fees are €20 for an individual or €40 for a family of 2 adults and up to 2 children

Below is some information to help you make the most of the event.
Location
The start, finish, registration / number collection, refreshments and prize-giving all take place in Maynooth Community College (MCC), Moyglare road, Maynooth, W23 P2R0. Attached is a map of the campus to help find your way. This year to help reduce wait times on Sunday morning you can also collect your number between 10am and 3 pm in Maynooth Square at our stand during the Maynooth Local Market.

9.40am Race warm-up at the astro pitch for 5k and 10k runners
10am Race start for 10k and 5k
10.30am Refreshments in the school hall
11.30am Prize-giving
Registration and Number Collection
We have a high level of entries so please collect your number in good time on either Saturday April 20th in Maynooth Square at our stand in Maynooth Local Market from 10am to 3pm or Sunday morning in MCC . We will have separate sections for number collection and walk-in entries In MCC on Sunday morning so please follow the signs.
Race route
Please see course maps online at http://www.maynooth10k.ie/10krun.html. There will be road closures along the route but please follow the instructions of the Gardai and race marshals and be mindful that safety is paramount for all involved. The race route will be clearly marked and marshalled along the way and there will be markers at each kilometre.
Finish line
Medals, snoods, water and fruit and URBO Protein Milk (while stocks last) will be given out at the finish line.
Reusable cups
In the interests of reducing plastic waste, we provide water in reusable cups instead of plastic bottles. Please return the cups in the bags provided.
Car parking
Parking is available within the school campus at MPPs, MCC, on the basketball courts and at the Moyglare Hall GAA pitches beside the school. Please park as directed by the car-park stewards. Cars are parked at owner's risk. We have a high number of entries so please be patient getting in and out of the school campus.
Toilets and cloakroom
Are available in MCC. Showers and changing rooms are not available
Post-race Physio
We have no post-race physio this year
Prizes
1st, 2nd, 3rd, Male and Female in each race. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Glenroyal Hotel we will include all participants in a special prize draw for a wonderful prize of one night B&B in our local Glenroyal Hotel.
Results
As the race is chip-timed, your result will be available straight away and full results will be available online soon after the race ends on popupraces.ie
Race Behaviour
Please be considerate of other runners and road users. Please follow the instructions of the race stewards.
Race time
For the 10K race participants must reach the 8K mark at 11.15am and for the 5K race participants must reach the 3K mark at 11.15am to allow for road re-opening in good time as agreed with an Garda Siochána.
