Maynooth 5k/10k 2020
Maynooth 5k / 10k Goes Virtual
In light of the ongoing situation with Covid 19 we have made the difficult decision to cancel our physical event this year.
We are delighted to offer a virtual option to you and hope you will enjoy taking part.
We are offering a virtual race either 5k or 10k to be run in your own time before December 31, 2020.
Our magnificent 10th anniversary medal sponsored by Pearls Dental and new Buff sponsored by Specsavers Maynooth will be posted out to you on submission of evidence on the Pop-Up Races mobile app.
Organized by MEC PTA, the Parent teacher association for Maynooth Education Campus, we are fund-raising as usual for the upkeep of the school playing fields on the Moyglare road and a new astro / MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) at the school Campus. This year in light of the Covid pandemic we are supporting a local frontline charity fund “Friends of Maynooth Community Care Unit” to purchase much needed equipment.
Notes:
- 5k or 10k should be completed by December 31

- If you have done multiple runs, submit one combined time at the end
- If it’s a family run, again one combined time is fine

A decision on the October 18th race will be made nearer the time but in the meantime, we are offering a virtual race either 5k or 10k to be run in your own time before October 18th. The fast and flat Maynooth 10K + 5K is very popular with runners of all abilities.
With its scenic route through St. Patrick’s College and Carton House Hotel, chip timing by Pop Up Races, accurate course measurement and professional organization, the event has gone from strength to strength.

Refreshments will be served after the race in the school.
Ample car parking, toilet facilities and cloakroom available at the school.
