The Permanent TSB Wellbeing Committee is proud to have teamed up with Pop Up Races to launch our 2nd year of the ‘At Your Own Pace’ Series 2021 – a multi distance series taking place in September and October. The first 300 participants registered will receive a ptsb t-shirt, bespoke finishers medal (click HERE), and a goody bag!
This year, we want to get everyone involved! There are no leader boards. No posting of times. No posting of distances. This year our focus is designed with everyone in mind and is suitable for any and all fitness levels! So c’mon, let’s rally together and let’s get moving to support our staff charities at a time when they need us most!
We are delighted to invite you to take part, virtually & safely, with colleagues, family or friends, to support the wonderful work of our 2021 Staff Charity Partners – Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), Women’s Aid, Solas Cancer Support (South Eastern Cancer Foundation), Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind, Oranmore Maree Coastal Search Unit & Breast Cancer Ireland. All monies raised through registration will be match funded by the Bank in an effort to support the work of these incredible charities. You can read more about the fantastic work that all our Staff Charity Partners do HERE.
How It Works:
There are two official weekends to complete your preferred distance. During each weekend, participants will have the option to complete a distance of their choice (5km, 10km or 21km). You may choose to walk, run, or cycle the distance, in your own good time & at your own pace. All you have to do is log onto the Pop Up Races website, www.popupraces.ie, (using your own personal device) and register your name & address, (so that we can post your finishers medal to you), indicate your t-shirt size, & that’s it!
The Dates:
- Weekend 1 – September 18th – 19th
- Complete 5km or 10km
- Weekend 2 – October 23rd – 25th
- Complete 5km, 10km or 21km (half marathon)
The registration fee is €25 to participate in the two weekends and includes delivery of your original & bespoke permanent tsb medal at the end of October. You can view the medal here (click here).
The official race medals will be posted out to all participants week commencing October 26th.
Everyone is very welcome to join us on our second virtual permanent tsb series, including your family and friends, so please do encourage them to register & take part!
We would like to wish all of our participants the very best of luck in your endeavours. We will be posting plans per distance to support you with your training, so keep an eye out on Connect for those. Please feel free to share your pace stories with us by emailing Wellbeing@permanenttsb.ie.
We hope you enjoy the event, & thank you sincerely for supporting our Staff Charity Partners.
Best wishes,
The permanent tsb Wellbeing Committee
